The 27-year-old A&E doctor gives more than a thousand hours of his time a year to volunteering outside of work.
BBC One Show presenter Matt Allwright made a special trip to surprise Luke, who was volunteering at the Amex Stadium with St John Ambulance at a football match between Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham, with the award.
The Platinum Champions Awards have been established by the Royal Voluntary Service in honour of Her Majesty The Queen and the great example she has set during her 70 years of service.
Luke is one of 490 volunteers who was presented with his award by the Duchess of Cornwall at a Big Jubilee Lunch at the Oval, in London.
Luke said:
"It's an enormous privilege to be recognised as a Platinum Champion for the jubilee.
"I take great pride in working with the wonderful team at Together Co and helping to tackle loneliness, and was not expecting anything like this. But, I'm delighted to receive the award."
