Behind The Mask: Film Uncovers Motives Of 'Animal Liberationists'

Presented by Keith Mann, a former Brighton based Animal Liberation Front activist, Behind The Mask is a film that captures the hearts and souls of men and women who unveil their individual struggles for Animal Liberation.

But who are these 'animal liberationists' and why do they believe that breaking the law is the best way to help animals?

What inspires them to challenge the status quo, fight against all odds and endure repression and imprisonment?

This controversial seventy-two minute documentary film weaves together the lives of people who face jail, devastation or even death for their ideals.

Behind The Mask exposes never before seen footage that reveals the extent to which these individuals will go to save the lives of animals.

If you think these people are the 'evil monsters' talked about in the media who engage in 'chilling raids' on research labs, if you think they are freedom fighters who save lives and defend the defenceless or if you haven't formed a view either way or simply want to be entertained then this is for you.

Aforementioned presenter, Keith Mann, has served over seven years for ALF raids including recently exposing Home Office misinformation regarding cosmetic testing, which it was revealed is in fact thriving in the UK and fully sanctioned by the Home Office. One big lie, he claims, among many.

There will be a chance to ask questions, to just observe or to challenge his controversial view that animal testing in fact kills people, that the meat industry is killing the planet and that the end justifies the means when raising such issues, 'by whatever means necessary'.

Behind The Mask will be shown @ 6.15pm on Thursday March 8 @ Duke of Yorks Cinema. Tickets are priced £4/£3.
