Brighton & Hove Albion Lend Support To Bid To End Loneliness Campaign

Local businesses and Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club, are lending their support to the Bid to End Loneliness campaign from Together Co, Brighton's loneliness charity.

Businesses are donating prizes for people to bid on via an online auction where all proceeds go to funding the vital work of TogetherCo in helping lonely and isolated people across Brighton and Hove. 

The money can't buy prizes include a signed football from Brighton & Hove Albion; afternoon tea with Brighton's Mayor and an entirely fee-free house sale from estate agents Hanover Homes.  

The Bid to End Loneliness auction from TogetherCo kicks off today, Thursday 3rd December, with bids priced from £10. 

Final bids will be counted at 8pm on Sunday 13th December with more information on the auction and prizes at: https://www.32auctions.com/bidtoendloneliness

The campaign launches as TogetherCo scales to meet increased demand for its services due to the onset of winter combined with the COVID-19 crisis.

"This has been an extraordinarily hard year for those lonely and isolated in Brighton and Hove. 

"Your support really does make a difference so please do help our 'Bid to End Loneliness'. 

Together Co is Brighton's loneliness charity that creates connections to change lives.

They do this through befriending, social prescribing and volunteering services in Brighton and Hove and by sharing their experience nationally.

As part of a worldwide day of action organised by the Union for International Cancer Control to reduce the global impact of cancer, Mike Peters of Welsh rock band The Alarm's Love Hope Strength Foundation (LHS) has announced their Love Hope Strength Big Night In, an evening of entertainment on February 4th, World Cancer Day.
