Same Boat Music
, which has released its first four new albums
plans to further Out of the Ark's vision to create songs that explore issues of identity, meaning and purpose, and engage families
to sing together.
Founded in 1989, Out of the Ark Music is an award-winning publisher, with thirty years' experience distributing songs to over 18,000 Primary Schools across the UK.
Overseen by Same Boat Music's Managing Director Andy Bodkin, the four new albums have been recorded at their Rustington Studio and will be available on their website and other digital service providers.
"Same Boat Music has launched with a commitment to capture the breadth and diversity of life in the world around us through high quality, family friendly songs.
"The label has been born out of a passionate belief that children deserve the very best.
"Adults singing with kids has also proven to be a great opportunity to explore questions of life that are not easily discussed over the kitchen table."
Same Boat Music has launched an online resource
which will feature hundreds of songs
with accompanying music and video resources with the aim of encouraging families and communities to sing and grow together, whether at home, at church or elsewhere.
"The songs that we sing together help shape the way we think, the way we act and the way we view ourselves and the world around us.
"We don't just write songs for the sake of writing songs – we passionately believe that songs can make a real difference in your life and the life of kids.
"Our hope is that together, the Same Boat Music community will be a generous and hope-filled catalogue of incredible music for all generations.
"We're really excited to share songs and resources that can help communities grow together in faith and celebration."
