Sigrid's new single, Sucker Punch, highlights the breadth of her maturing talent and aptitude for song writing.
The 22-year-old also drops an augmented reality lyric video using new technology, which has a 'smartphone' aesthetic mirroring the masses of social content that populates our life every day, with the augmented reality twist.
"Sucker Punch is one of my favourite songs so far .. Emily Warren, Martin Sjølie and I made it when we were in Ocean Sound Recordings in my hometown a while ago.
"The song is just a result of our usual way of working: talking, cooking, strolling, singing, dancing, experimenting...! Ugh it was so fun - just like the track itself."
In 2016, Sigrid signed with Island Records and released her debut single, Don't Kill My Vibe.
She was also a part of The Sims 4: Parenthood soundtrack with the Simlish version of, Don't Kill My Vibe.
It's been reported that her brother gave her the final fateful push into songwriting:
"He's a musician too. He had a show back home and he wanted me to join him on stage but told me I wasn't allowed to play a cover.
"He said I had to write a song. He gave me two weeks. So I wrote a song in two weeks and performed it at the show."
Sigrid plays The Brighton Centre on 11th March 2019. CLICK HERE for tickets.
