And it's with the imminent release of Bond's twenty-fifth outing, that an independent local band are ready to do battle with what is sure to be one of the biggest selling songs in the all most sixty-years of the world's most lucrative movie franchise.
The title of the 25th James Bond film, and Daniel Craig's final appearance as the legendary character, has been announced officially as, No Time to Die.
With this groundbreaking track, produced by Tom Gleeson (Slaves to Gravity, Feeder) and mastered by Pete Maher (U2, The Rolling Stones), 40 Shillings on the Drum, who have recently shared festival line ups with Manic Street Preachers, The Hives and many more, have crafted a song that not only reflects the franchise both musically and lyrically, but also stands strong in its own right.
Launching the Battle of the Bond Songs
campaign on Facebook, the band aim to build support
for their song and release it to purchase as a digital download in the same week as the official theme to No Time to Die
, encouraging a chart battle.
40 Shillings on the Drum's debut album, produced by Tom Gleeson, will be released in 2020, preceded by first single, Video Nasty.
