Performers including contortionist Rebecca Rennison, hula hoop performer Symoné, whip-cracker Lucifire, contemporary clown Meg Hodgson, Bollywood performers Kaajel Patel and Sarjana along with compere Marisa Carnesky, paraded through Brighton, surprising audiences with their skills and stopping at the abandoned West Pier for a photo opportunity.

Carnesky's Showwomxn Sideshow Spectacular is created by Olivier-award winning theatre maker Marisa Carnesky (Ghost Train; Jewess Tattooess) and will be the largest single gathering of female and non-binary show women in Britain.

Thirty-three performers will take over an entire Brighton street to present a breathtaking, death-defying outdoor spectacular for fourteen performances across the bank holiday weekend, 25 & 26 May.

The event is part of Brighton Festival 2024 - the largest annual curated multi-arts festival in England - running 4-26 May.

The hour-long show will run non-stop on the hour from 2pm on Saturday 25th May and from 12pm on Sunday 26th May.

In an hour-long experience, audiences will be greeted by a series of elevated sideshow stages, an outdoor wrestling ring and an aerial arena installed against the urban backdrop of Elder Place, just 7 minutes from Brighton Station.
