Trailer Trash: Decadent Dress Compulsory @ Themed Cabaret Celebration
It"s Trailer Trash's first birthday at Komedia and the cult movie-themed club extravaganza is celebrating in style on Saturday 20 March with their most exquisitely decadent theme yet – Baz Luhrmann!
All the best bits from the director's films such as Moulin Rouge, Romeo and Juliet and Strictly Ballroom will be up on the big screen, setting the tone for a truly fabulous evening.
Along with live Baz themed cabaret, there will be all the best aerial, circus, cabaret and burlesque sideshow acts from Miss Kitty Peels, The Ooh La Las, Strictly Dumb Prancing, The Flirtinis and of course the infamous Trailer Trash Troupe - All performed in true Trailer Trash dazzling style.
Your host for the evening, providing some high heels and high glamour, will be Rosy Carrick. She will be on hand to add a touch of class to the proceedings.
Meanwhile the resident Trailer Trash DJs will be offering up plenty of rock 'n' roll, neo-swing, trashy punk, glitzy covers, soundtracks and classic hits.
With a dress code fitting for an evening of such extravagance you will need to dress to impress, Baz style.
Think Moulin Rouge - high class courtesan chic, revolutionary rags, poetic excess; Romeo & Juliet - knights, angels, hawaiian-shirted hooligans, suicidal virginal bridalwear; or Strictly Ballroom ¬- impossibly orange tans, improbably lurid ballgowns, sequins, lusty spanish party clobber... This isn't a night to blend into the crowd.
So come celebrate one year of Trailer Trash in a way you"ll never forget!
Trailer Trash! present Baz Lurhmann visits Komedia Brighton on Saturday 20 March at 9.30pm.
Tickets are £7 available on-line at www.komedia.co.uk/brighton or from the Box Office on 0845 293 8480.
