Wheel Of The Year Open Rituals: Join The Celebrations!

If we align with the energies of each phase of the natural progression of the seasons, we can consciously participate in and benefit from the gifts of the seasons and rhythms of Nature.
We can experience how our lives reflect the many dimensions of a living system.
These open rituals are also an opportunity for people of like mind to come together in the spirit of celebration, sharing and community.

The next phase is Imbolc which means 'ewe's milk' or "in the womb'.
Imbolc is defined as a cross-quarter day, midway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox and is marked at 15 degrees of Aquarius.
Since the winter solstice, the days are becoming lighter as the Sun moves higher in the sky.
The warming of the land initiates the beginnings of spring.
Roots and shoots are growing and lambs are born and fed by their mother's milk.
It's time for a spring clean and some inner refreshment.
An Imbolc Meditation:
Traditionally Candles or fires are used to represent our inner light and the growing power of the sun. Align yourself with this powerful energy to feel revitalised and connected with the cycles of life. Firstly, light a candle and contemplate this flame as the light of life. Allow this light to warm you from the inside and feel the tingling of energy as you connect with this feeling. Then imagine a snake in the centre of the Earth beginning to stretch after a long winter sleep. At the same time, visualise serpent energy at the base of your spine begin to uncoil. Breathe deeply and feel the power of the Earth rising up and into your body. Visualise your snake sparkling with this energy and moving up your spine. Breathe this active and vibrant power throughout your body and direct it out of the top of your head to merge with the Infinite.
