Brighton Indian Head Massage Specialist Launches New Webpages
Andy Lucas, Brighton Magazine therapies editor and Brighton hypnotherapist, caught up with Brighton Indian Head Massage specialist Yasmin Vali to find out about her new Brighton Indian Head Massage webpages and the work she does in Brighton.
Brighton Magazine (BM): What does Indian Head Massage do?
Yasmin Vali (YV): It focuses on the upper back, neck, arms, head and face. The chakras that are being worked on in this massage are the top three chakras: crown, brow and throat. Soothing oils can be used to enhance the effect of the message.
BM: What is the history of Indian Head Massage?
YV: It has been practiced in India for over 1,000 years and comes from a tradition of family grooming. The techniques involved have been passed down from generation to generation, following two paths of development: women developed one part of the massage to keep their hair strong; barbers (men) developed the other part to invigorate the scalp and head. These two components, along with a few other techniques, make up the modern-day version of Indian Head Massage that I use in Brighton.
BM: You mentioned how Indian Head Massage works on the chakras. What effect does this have?
YV: It makes you relaxed and it revitalises the whole body. You often feel alert after the treatment, unlike other massages which tend to make you feel sleepy.
BM: Anything else?
YV: The deep level of relaxation can help with insomnia. And I find the treatment relieves muscle tension, aches, stress, depression, anxiety, headaches and sinus problems. In fact you can read some of the strories of my clients by reading their Indian Head Massage testimonials on my website.
YV: I was just remembering something else Andy. Would you believe that Indian Head Massage also improves and promotes hair growth!
Moving swiftly on...... Yasmin explained a full session of Indian Head Massage usually lasts forty minutes. A first session will include a consultation which increases the treatment"s duration to an hour.
